Workforce Development Video Series Released

One of the amazing things about moving into Project Management Consulting is that it has allowed my documentary filmmaking work to grow simultaneously. I produced this video series through my production company To the Moon Productions. Producing documentary videos involves lots of project management - collaborating with different organizations and the logistics and technical aspects of filming. This series required seeking sponsors, grants, and collaborations in order to secure funding and distribution.

“Pathways of Vermont: A Series of Career Stories” is a short documentary series follows skilled workers breaking the stereotype that a four-year college degree is the only option to have an interesting, lucrative and sustainable life, specifically in Vermont. Beyond individual stories, the bigger picture of Vermont economics and statistics around job availability reveals some amazing data. Viewers of the series peek behind the curtain of real Vermonters’ lives, highlighting people in nursing, manufacturing, and carpentry.

Keep an eye out for sponsors distributing the content directly through their organizations. Current Sponsors Include:

Think Vermont, Vermont Dept of Labor with the Vermont State Workforce Development Board, BDCC/SeVEDS (Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation/Southeastern Vermont Economic Development Strategy), The Thompson Trust, George W. Mergens Foundation, Brattleboro Savings & Loan, The J. Warren & Louis McClure Foundation (part of Vermont Community Foundation), and Vermont Future Project.

I look forward to seeing how these videos are used to support people around the state. Please share the videos and reach out if you -
